After recognising the long-standing need for a new Primary School in Birgu, a decision was made in the 1970s to construct the new school.

Birgu’s new Primary School is inaugurated
The need to have a new Primary School in Birgu had been felt for a long time.
In the 70s, it was decided that this school would be built instead of the cemetery of St Rocco where in the past, the victims of the plague were buried. The school was inaugurated on 10 April 1976.
