On the 1950th anniversary of the shipwreck of St Paul in Malta, Pope Benedict XVI made a pastoral visit to our country between the 17th and 18th of April 2010,

On Sunday, April 18th, as he was on his way to Kalkara to board the catamaran that was taking him to the Valletta Waterfront to meet Maltese youths, he passed through the outskirts of Birgu and Bormla where he was greeted by the locals.
