Grand Master La Sengle dies
Grand Master La Sengle was the one who founded Senglea City in 1554, also known as Isla. Additionally, he enhanced Fort Saint Michael in Senglea transforming it into a significant bastion.
Unfortunately, this beloved Grand Master did not get to enjoy the city he founded because he died on 18 August 1557.
