St Anne’s home is inaugurated in Isla
The building was originally a house with an Oratory, but in 1819 it was turned into a Hospice. The chapel inside was later dedicated to St Anne.
On the 23rd of October 1980, the building was demolished to make space for a new house that was completed in 1984. The Hospice was named after St Anne and was inaugurated by Archbishop Mons. Ġużeppi Mercieca on 30 June 1987.
