King George V and Queen Mary visit Malta
After visiting India, on their way back to England, King George V and his wife Queen Mary made a stop in Malta. They entered the Grand Harbour on the 24th of January 1912 on board the Royal Yacht HMS Medina, where they were welcomed by a crowd of people on the bastions.
The next day, Thursday 25 January, King George V planned a visit to the Cottonera Military Hospital where he made his descent at St Lawrence’s wharf and was courteously greeted.
